In the early 90`s the Disciples formed thier own sound system, naming it Boom Shacka Lacka (BSL), they played dances up and down the UK, many alongside sounds / dj`s like Rootsman, Iration Steppas, Abashanti, Channel One, Joey Jay and so on. The BSL sound finished in `96 but Russ d continued to  dj at clubs, festivals and on other sounds both here in the Uk and abroad, travelling to places near like Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Holand, Finland, Czech Republic, and far away places like Israel, Japan, Mexico and America.
